Our services
in New Jersey
For industry professionals-The AeroBarrier Connect air sealing system uses verified software that accounts for the build’s many variables, such as square footage, number of windows, doors, and bathrooms. The software combines with an industry standard blower door, which meets ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) standards, to deliver measurable results you can track in real time.
Our service areas are: New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut
Our software was built with you in mind. It intuitively guides you through inputting all the build details to create the highest level of accuracy in your air sealing report. With AeroBarrier, there’s no question of whether or not you pass inspection. The system updates every 90 seconds and tracks in both ACH50 and CFM to accommodate different air requirements, eliminating the need for any further calculations.
For home owners and real estate professionals-
Upon completion, the AeroBarrier Connect air sealing system automatically provides you with an air sealing certificate. This certificate includes data to assist with final inspections, including:
- Initial air leakage
- A graph showing air leakage reduction over time
- Total amount of time for the air sealing process
- Final air leakage after the sealing is complete with a percent of change comparing before and after airtightness
Our certificate provides you with the satisfaction and confidence of knowing that you met your requirement. No other air sealing method out there can provide this guarantee.
The Process and Lingo
At time of install, we walk the home, seal all windows, hvac vents, and permanent penetrations the home has. From there, we install a blower door to pressurize the home. An initial reading is then taken. At that time we will consult with you on the desired air tightness result you prefer. We’ll then continue setting up multiple spray stations in the home. In 45-90 minutes(typically) we will have the home sealed with printed results showing its before and after results. We then clean up, and the home is ready to go. 3 stickers will be applied at time of install, one in the electrical panel, one on the water heater, and one on a window nearest the front door. Additionally, paperwork will be left in a mechanical room, or near one of the utilities.
What is ach50- ach stands for air changes per hour. 50 stands for 50 pascals, pascals is a measurement of pressure.
Cost
We understand a big question is “how much” and we are big on building expectations. There is no one cost fits all for this process because every home is built different or has aged differently. So what you can expect is paying anywhere from $1.25 – $1.75 per sqft of the home. What determines the cost are the following:
- Location
- Initial blower doos test.
- Desired sealed number.
- The amount of product it takes to get it.
